Our undergarment challenge: 18th Century Pocket Hoops

The Challenge: Create an undergarment.
Fabric: natural undyed cotton muslin with satin ribbon and poly boning.
Pattern: none
Year: Around the years 1750s-1780s.
Notions: ribbon
How historically accurate is it? 7/10 as it is mostly machine sewn and poly boning.
Hours to complete: Around 4-5

MMC is 5 years old!

Wow! The last five years have gone by so fast! What a wonderful time it has been creating over 300 historical outfits and accessories. We have learned so much about business, sewing and people since we started Matti's Millinery & Costumes back when we were both still in highschool in 2006. An Elizabethan Flair

With Renaissance Faires quickly coming on, we have created 2 stunning Elizabethan Court costumes for 2 very fortunate souls bold enough to wear them! One of them we've handsewn 301 pearls on it! These gorgeous costumes are available from us in our Etsy shop. Right now we are in the midst of creating 2 high collar Tudor Court ensembles. Watch for more updates in the future!
